Talking about dosages of vitamin C supplements, its daily recommended dose for 19 years old adults and older people is 90 mg for men and 75 mg daily for women. Smoking causes depletion of vitamin C in the body, so an additional dose of 35 mg is required for smokers. In pregnant women and lactation, the recommended dose is 85 mg or 120 mg depending upon the condition of the body. The upper level of Vitamin C is 2000 mg daily, beyond this it will promote GIT distress.
